Last week I received some pretty awesome news. The bridal editorial I worked on has been picked up by the Hungarian version of Marie Claire.
At the end of last year we teamed up with the uber talented team and created magic on the streets of Notting Hill. Photographer Anna Szabo flew in from Hungary to shoot with us. This was a beautiful bright day and preparation started at my home studio in Greenford. The idea for our shoot was to produce a soft editorial with a strong message. I planned to create a wedding makeup and hair look that will that will do just that.
We wanted to capture Izzy, our model as a soft and at the same time strong woman. A go getter who has a delicate side to her, but is also a powerful woman who is not afraid to make her own decisions. She embraces her femininity and owns every inch of her body and soul. She is not a typical model in her size and she is not limited by anyone’s expectations. She is free to define her own rules. The contrasts are found everywhere throughout our shoot. In one of the images her power is softened by flowers, in the other her strong gaze is softened by a delicate lace dress from Hungarian designer Nora Sarman.
MARIE CLAIRE'S WOMAN IS STRONG AND SOFT WHEN SHE DECIDES TO BE.
A modern woman with mind and goals of her own, saying "No" to the cult of achieving perfection or a perfect body, living and loving what nature gave her.
I created a makeup look that softens Izzy's features using summer hit collection Pillow Talk from Charlotte Tilbury. I deepened a dusky-pink smokey eye using burgundy colours of Vintage Vamp Palette, both are my go to products when creating bridal makeup on my clients. A tutorial on this bridal look will soon be available on my instagram @weddingdaymua
ENJOY THE STORY...
