It is feminine and effortless, but  I understand that not everyones hair will look full and last all day, so for clients with such concerns we can discuss an additional hair extensions option. Vintage Waves 

All You Need to Know about this Hairstyle 

Vintage waves have been one of the most requested hairstyles in the past 2 years and demand for this gorgeous hairdo is only on the rise. There are a few things to know about the vintage waves. 

​

First, the Amount of hair. This hairstyle requires a lot of hair and by that I mean a great thick, long hair. Even if you are blessed with incredible mane, most likely you will require a set or two of additional 100% human remi hair extensions. The hair is curled and brushed in a way that holds every single strand side by side in order to achieve the flawless wave from the top to the bottom. Such technique 'eats' a lot of volume, hence extra amount is necessary.

Length. The ideal length of hair is around 16 - 17 inches. It looks long enough on almost everyone and allows for curl to last all day. Vintage wave on shorter ( below the shoulder ) hair is also achievable, however expect a bigger separation around the shoulder level.

Too long hair ( 20 and more inches), in my experience, is much harder to set in one flowing wave that will last all day due to the length and heaviness.

Cut. The perfect cut for the vintage wave with the side parting is when all hair is the same length without layers. This allows the strands to sit well together and prevents unnecessary separation throughout the day. If your hair is layered, this does not mean that hairdo is not achievable. A set of good hair extensions will help to blend in the layers. Some layering near the face ( below the jawline) can be beneficial and will help to lift the quiff part.

Accessories. There are a few different types of accessories that will suit vintage wave hairdo. If we are talking about a classic side parting, then a small to medium size hair clip ( hair comb ) will add that extra ' oomph". I have a few perfect hairclips in my bridal accessory store to go with this look. For example, Alice, â€‹Lina, Leila, Mia, Vera, Zara.

If You are going for a modern take on vintage wave hairdo with a middle parting, then chunky encrusted Alice band will be a great option for You.

Time. A perfect sleek, defined vintage wave on long hair is achieved within 2 - 3 hours depending on the amount of additional hair extensions required. Please, bear in mind, although it may look that way, this is not a simple hairdo. It requires an experienced and patient Artist to achieve this look to perfection and allowing enough time is crucial for the result.

These are the main points to consider, when choosing Vintage Wave Hairstyle for Your Big Day. On my part, I can surely say, this is a true show stopper and a complete celebrity hairdo! It will not leave one person indifferent by the way You look!
